Living as normally as possible means participating in society. Our comfortable homes are fully equipped and located in the Kloostervelden neighborhood in Sterksel, or in another village. These adapted homes are in "ordinary" neighborhoods, offering a pleasant living environment with engaged neighbors and volunteers.

We provide ample opportunities for residents to engage in daily village life in their own way. Children live in Heeze, close to our epilepsy center and school.

Parents, family, and other loved ones are, of course, always welcome in the homes. Whether to be together, participate, or, where possible, do something together. We regularly organize activities for residents and their loved ones.

House Rules

Wherever people live together, work together, or enjoy their free time, they make agreements with each other. This is also true for the Centre for Epilepsy Residential Care at Kempenhaeghe. Therefore, there are house rules in place to ensure an orderly process and the safety of the clients. An orderly process means that clients can live their lives as comfortably as possible while taking each other into consideration. This also includes agreements that contribute to a good (pedagogical) environment. Each residential location has its own set of house rules. These cover things such as pets, smoking, and overnight stays.
