Doose, Doose Syndrome, EM-AS, MAE
Doose syndrome is an epilepsy syndrome in young children, characterized by seizures where children experience jerks in their body, followed by a short period of paralysis in the affected body part. The first seizures related to Doose syndrome typically occur in children between the ages of six months and six years.
In some children, it is difficult to control the seizures with medication. In such cases, referral to a specialized epilepsy center like Kempenhaeghe may be necessary.
