Referral to the Center for Neurological Learning and Developmental Disorders

Do you have children or adolescents with a neurological condition under your care, who may also have a learning, behavioral, or developmental disorder? Then, the Center for Neurological Learning and Developmental Disorders at Kempenhaeghe can offer added value.

We combine our expertise in pediatric neurology and clinical neuropsychology, providing a comprehensive perspective on the child’s abilities and learning potential.

As the child’s treating medical specialist, you are an important partner with whom we would be happy to collaborate and share our findings. Typically, the treating medical specialist refers a patient to our center.

For a referral to Kempenhaeghe, a referral letter is required from the general practitioner or medical specialist. A referral letter is also needed if the patient has been under treatment but has not had a consultation for more than two years.

Once we receive the referral letter, the parent of your patient will receive an invitation as soon as possible. After the diagnostic examination, we will inform you of the results and refer the child back.
