A MEG examination may be part of the trajectory to determine whether epilepsy surgery is a treatment option for you.
MEG examinations (Magneto-Encephalo-Graphy) register the magnetic waves in the brains to measure the brain activity. This examination can offer more information about the place where the epilepsy originates.
MEG examinations are done in the outpatient clinic at the VU Medical Center in Amsterdam. Preceding this examination, you will receive detailed information, personally by the neurologist and/or nursing specialist, about the course of the examination and the practical things you must reckon with.
