Second Opportunity Line
In the coming years, proven labor-saving technologies will be a major focus, as outlined in the national agreement for disability care. Our task is to use these technologies to enhance the independence of residents, clients, patients, or students. Additionally, it's crucial to deploy staff at the right moments in care, when a client needs assistance, and ensure this is aligned with the client's needs.
At Kempenhaeghe Epilepsy Residential Care (CEW), we participated in the Social Robotics project, supported by the healthcare office. This was a regional project involving six healthcare organizations. These robots help with aspects like quality of life, self-reliance, structure, and client autonomy, addressing their needs. Furthermore, it is expected that these robots will contribute to greater care efficiency, increased job satisfaction, and, in the future, help address labor market challenges.
We started with one robot: Ivy. Now, we are expanding to the fifth robot. Our employees play a key role in bringing and implementing innovations. These innovations help ensure the future-proof nature of our care.
