Kempenhaeghe carefully handles the personal information that is registered during your visit to the Kempenhaeghe website. If you are a patient at Kempenhaeghe, your personal and medical information is registered in your personal electronic patient file. The privacy regulations protect patient information. Kempenhaeghe acts according to the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO, April 1, 1995) and the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG, Mei, 2018).

Rights and obligations of both the patient and the care providers are established in these laws; the patient’s privacy protection is ensured and it is established that care providers must treat patient information confidentially. The right to information is laid down, it is established that you can only be treated after your expressed permission, and the laws contain information on representation of patients who are unable to make an independent decision about their treatment.
