Scientific annual report

Insight into the scientific research conducted and the development activities of the past several years is provided with the publication of the bi-annual ‘Periodic Report Research & Development Kempenhaeghe’. In March 2010 ‘Periodic Report 8’ was published which covers the period 2008-2009. Before that Periodic Report 1 through Periodic Report 7 were published. In 2012, the following Periodic Report (on the period 2010-2011) will be published.

Research and Development at Kempenhaeghe

In addition to patient care for patients with epilepsy and sleep and wake disorders, Kempenhaeghe is also active in scientific research in the field of epileptology and sleep medicine. Both core tasks are linked. Questions for research and development arise from patient care and vice versa the projects are all aimed at innovation of patient care. The Research & Development sector of Kempenhaeghe is particularly aimed at development of expertise and spreading their expertise.

Kempenhaeghe is active in virtually all important domains of epilepsy research. The number of research projects increases as well; also in the area of sleep medicine. More and more Kempenhaeghe is represented in national and international research networks.
