Entry trajectory
In the so-called entry trajectory Kempenhaeghe receives children and adults with seizures of an unknown nature. In this trajectory patients with inexplicable changes in their epilepsy seizures may also be examined.
The purpose is to perform a diagnostic evaluation of the seizures and to gain insight into the underlying causes. After a consultation with the neurologist the next step is usually an internal referral for a more extensive diagnosis. If this shows Kempenhaeghe cannot help the patient the patient will be referred back.
