Employment terms and conditions

Kempenhaeghe offers an enjoyable working environment in a dynamic organization. The primary employment terms and conditions are based on the CAO Ziekenhuizen (collective labour agreement for hospitals). Further information about this collective agreement is found on

Furthermore, Kempenhaeghe has good secondary employment terms and conditions, such as a multiple choice employment terms and conditions system with a salary savings scheme, life-course savings scheme, a bicycle scheme, exchange opportunities for travel expenses / year-end bonuses, subscriptions to professional organizations and trade unions, various leave possibilities and a study facilities scheme. Kempenhaeghe offers several collective possibilities for health insurance, salary savings and life-course at the IZZ (a health insurance company), CZ (a health insurance company), Rabobank and PGGM (the major pension fund for people working in care organizations).

Salary and reimbursements

The employers' salaries are based on the salary scales in the collective labour agreement. Kempenhaeghe uses a job rating system. As an extra, employees receive a year-end bonus of 5% and a holiday allowance of 8% of their annual salary. Travel expenses for commuter traffic are reimbursed in accordance with the collective labour agreement.

Leave

In consultation with their managers, employees have possibilities for paid and/or unpaid leave during their employment, such as care leave and parental leave.

Collective health insurance

Kempenhaeghe employees can participate in the collective health insurance IZZ, organized by the Stichting IZZ. Further information about this health insurance is found on www.IZZ.nl.

Pension

Kempenhaeghe is associated with the Stichting Pensioenfonds voor de Gezondheid, Geestelijke en Maatschappelijke belangen (PGGM – a pension fund for people working in care organizations). Further information about the pension plan is found on www.pggm.nl.

Flexible working hours

Every employee is subject to a working schedule, usually published by Kempenhaeghe four weeks before the period concerned. Working times, leave, wishes/obligations to maintain a healthy balance between work and private life are taken into account wherever possible. Questions and wishes regarding the schedule are discussable. After consultation with their managers, employees have possibilities for paid and/or unpaid leave during their employment. The collective labour agreement describes the possibilities.

Multiple choice employment terms and conditions system

Kempenhaeghe has a "MeerKeuzesysteem Arbeidsvoorwaarden" (MKA – multiple choice employment terms and conditions system). This system offers employees – in agreement with their managers – choices in parts of the employment terms and conditions and to exchange certain aspects for other ones. This system offers attractive benefits based on tax law options.

E.g. the gross salary, a gratuity, year-end bonus, holiday allowance or unsocial hour bonus may be used to finance extra free time, supplementary pension or additional education. The multiple choice system further includes the bicycle scheme, salary savings, travel expenses / year-end bonus exchange possibilities, the life-course savings scheme, and subscriptions to professional organizations and trade unions. Furthermore, extra leave hours or reserved hours for holiday leave may be used.
