Kempenhaeghe's ambition and development calls for professional employees willing to develop themselves continuously. Annual talk

It is a good thing to take time every now and then to consider everybody's functioning and if employees still enjoy their work. This is in the interest of Kempenhaeghe as well as in the interest of the individual employee. Therefore, our employees have an annual personal talk with their manager. This talk covers important work related issues, such as functioning, job contents and position, working environment, employment terms and conditions, work organization, competences (job requirements) and personal development.

Study opportunities

Kempenhaeghe's training policy offers opportunities for study allowances. We consider it important that our employees are able to realize their ambitions. Various factors determine if an individual request for training is awarded. The final decision in this is up to the manager. Training activities required to perform a function are fully compensated by Kempenhaeghe, both in time and money. Training for nurses and carers is usually organized in internal courses. Thus, knowledge and skills remain up to standard.

At the Heeze location, Kempenhaeghe has rooms where employees follow courses such as resuscitation training and training in so-called "voorbehouden handelingen" , i.e. restricted activities such as administration of injections and medications. The emergency attendants of Kempenhaeghe also receive their theoretical and practical training here.

Working conditions

It is important that our employees provide care in good working conditions. Working conditions are a focus of our attention through periodical surveys and evaluations of work related risks. Bottlenecks are addressed and prevention is improved. Kempenhaeghe systematically maps risks of occupational diseases and takes measures to avoid occupational risks. Examples are the vaccination programme against hepatitis B infection, the purchase of and training and instruction in the use of lifting devices, and training to prevent and deal with aggressive behaviour. The ultimate goal is to prevent and reduce sickness absence. In this framework, a regulation "Afspraken verzuimbeleid" (absence policy) has been established in consultation with the employees council.
