Holiday jobs

In the summer, but in other holiday periods as well, Kempenhaeghe employs holiday replacements in nursing and care and the Cleaning & Maintenance Department as well as other general and technical support services. Please complete our holiday job application form if you are a student of 17 or older with possibilities to work for at least 2 or 3 weeks continuously.

 

Application procedure
An application procedure is an exciting selection process for both parties. Kempenhaeghe exercises due care concerning privacy. On the one hand we provide candidates with the information needed to make a well-considered choice for the position concerned and for Kempenhaeghe. On the other hand, Kempenhaeghe's concern is to select the right candidate for the position at the department concerned and our organization as a whole.
Every prospective employee will have an individual talk about conditions and terms of employment before he/she signs his/her employment contract. The aim of this talk is to agree about salary and other employment terms and conditions. Furthermore, Kempenhaeghe informs new colleagues about formal employee affairs, including such items as pension and health care insurance.
Introduction meeting
Periodically, Kempenhaeghe organizes group introduction meetings for new employees to further familiarize them with our organization and their new colleagues. Part of these meetings are education on epilepsy and fire and safety instructions. Furthermore, they are introduced to the Diagnostics & Treatment and Care & Service sectors.

Working at Kempenhaeghe

Working at Kempenhaeghe means working in a centre that is distinguishing itself both nationally and internationally. We are continuously seeking for new ways to better help people with epilepsy and/or sleep/wake disorders. Patient care is our number one concern, but scientific research plays an important part as well. Kempenhaeghe collaborates with academic hospitals, universities and fellow-institutions. Kempenhaeghe is frequently looking for new colleagues for the positions of nurse, carer and occupational therapist. Furthermore, we regularly have positions for clinical neurophysiology laboratory assistants.

Kempenhaeghe: one of the Best Employers in 2009

A survey performed by research agency Effectory and VK Banen, a division of the leading Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant, revealed recently that Kempenhaeghe was one of the Best Employers in 2009. The study compared employee surveys in 263 companies. Our employees gave Kempenhaeghe an overall score of 7.4, which is higher than the mean 6.9 for care organizations.
